The foundation of ADV Market Research is based on the friendship between Niels de Vries and Adriaan Ackers. This friendship started at the playground of their primary school “De Bongerd”. Already at the age of eleven this led to the idea to start their own company in the future, although they had no idea what kind of company it would become.
During the following years, next to their school activities, Niels and Adriaan engaged in several projects and graduated their studies. Nevertheless, the idea to start their own company continued to be an appealing option. As a result, “Ackers & De Vries” VOF was realised on the 1st of September 1995.
At first, “Ackers & De Vries” focused on technological companies and examined the possibilities to commercialise these companies. Here, they used qualitative research methods to advise the clients optimally.
